Large National Independent Food Distributor

Position Summary:

The President, Midwest, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, will have P&L responsibility for a $1 billion+ business, including distribution centers in Detroit and Kansas, as well as sales offices in Chicago, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Traverse City. This role will lead all functions of the business either directly or on a matrixed basis and will be responsible for developing an operating organization best suited to support the strategy of the business.
 

Our placement has over 20 years of experience in the foodservice sector and has progressed through various leadership roles over the course of his career, consistently driving revenue growth. He has a deep understanding of how to manage daily operations and displays the ability to promote sales growth while managing procurement and export activities. Most recently, he oversaw a group of 550 employees, with nine direct reports.
