The Partner-in-Charge of Accounting Principles leads the Firm’s National Accounting department and is responsible for transforming the department to accommodate for the developing needs of the Firm, its clients, and the needs of the people within the Accounting Principles Group.
Primary responsibilities include advising clients on technical matters relating to accounting, auditing and SEC issues, representing the Firm before regulators and accounting standard-setting organizations, writing and presenting technical training courses on financial accounting standards and SEC related subjects within the Firm and for external audiences, and developing and guiding the technical skill sets and careers of people within the department.
The successful candidate has at least 18 years of experience in accounting and auditing, including four or more years of experience as a Partner in the National Accounting group within the National Office of a Big 4 accounting firm. Additionally, the successful candidate’s experience includes a fellowship in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
