The Chief Credit Officer, reporting to the CEO, will lead the company’s Risk Management & Analytics team, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing risk management strategies, significantly contributing to the company’s stability and growth. As a key executive, the CCO will work closely with leadership, the Board and capital partners. They will set the strategic direction for Risk & Analytics, implementing a comprehensive risk management framework. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning risk efforts with overall business goals. The role will oversee credit functions, including credit decisioning, pricing, collections strategies and analytics, as well as marketing analytics to assess and predict credit performance.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a credit risk management role within the fintech or banking industry, with a focus on the consumer lending industry. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in credit management within the consumer finance sector, with a strong foundation in pricing, underwriting, risk management, and credit decisioning. They will have a proven track record of utilizing data science and analytics to optimize credit strategies, ensuring that pricing and customer acquisition efforts are aligned with the company’s growth goals. The individual will have demonstrated the ability to build and foster a robust credit culture, setting high standards for analytic decision-making across teams. In addition to their technical expertise, this leader must thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, driving growth and innovation while remaining flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.
