Position Summary:

The Head of Government Pharmacy is a dynamic leadership position tasked with leading teams in the Medicare Segment with plans for expansion into other Government Segments. This individual will own key goals for the organization including Cost of Care and Quality portfolio of programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in team leadership, product development, Utilization Management, Cost of Care, and quality strategies to ensure government products comply with standards and meet stakeholder needs.
 

The ideal candidate for the Head of Government Pharmacy position should possess 10 years of healthcare management experience, including at least five years in government business with a focus on Medicare. Expertise in health payer or pharmacy benefits management is essential. Additionally, the candidate should possess proven leadership skills dedicated to the development and guidance of staff. The role requires deep knowledge of product strategy, market alignment, and quality measures from a pharmacy perspective. Additionally, the leader must understand formulary benefits and operations, which vary by product type.
